Madhu in the Media
Madhu’s talent is constantly sought by the media. Whether working London Fashion week or contributinggreat colour to articles and features across the press including Vogue, Tatler and Marie Claire. Madhu’s work is respected, enjoyed and demanded.

Errol Douglas created powerful ponytails placed high on the crown at the Kristian Aadnevik show. The key to the pony is to make sure it is almost regimented in its positioning but kept soft and feminine through luxurious shine and natural movement throughout the tail. “The key is to use a small wire piece, inserted into the pony close to the crown, to bend, shape and lift the ponytail, similar to a groomed horse’s tail, and then wrapped strips of lace to cover the elastic around the join, “ explains Errol. Spritz the hair with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to hold the look in place while retaining that natural movement.
Amazing structures were created marrying past era elegance with futuristic finishes at Boras Asku and Pam Hogg. “This look will see the return of styling gel, it’s all very 80s, it’s the key product for keeping sleekness,” says Madhu. “Centre-part the hair around the face and build in structure behind the natural line of the ear. Big curls can be created with large curlers on wet hair which are then gently dried whilst in place, then braid the hair and pin it into position before pulling random wisps of hair out to frame the face and soften the look.”
There has been some great full-on crimping through London Fashion Week and this look was executed brilliantly at L’Wren Scott. “Give your hair s strong centre-parting”, explains Madhu, “keeping it sleek through the front sections and crimped through the rest of the hair to create that candy floss effect. Tease the hair gently and finish with a shine product to really boost the finish.”
The luxe blow-dry could also be called the lush blow-dry – sleek, shiny and simple. The key to this look is hair health, so use the right products to prep your hair. Create and deep-parting with a barrel brush and “for a slightly updated effect use a firm hold gel,” says Madhu, so the sides can be set snug into the temples creating more height on top and sleekness.
We saw a return of the 1920s cropped bob with one key theme: ‘Swooping’ fringes across the forehead molded into the neck. “The fake crop will be big news as it creates versatility using a just few pins, creating a ‘swoop’ fringe to the side quickly – It’s an instant crop and no need to even blow dry,” adds Madhu
